Shades of Honey Panel & Reading
Shades of Honey seeks to create space, place, and voice for Black, Brown, and Indigenous folks in the broader Denver Community. Through the “people’s mic”, Shades pulls on the long tradition of the Beat Scene and other Black artistic movements to foster an environment of healing, expression, resistance, and radical joy. We utilize different artistic mediums to materially support the struggles of all people that are being oppressed. Shades of Honey is an “events based”, non-hierarchical organization that moves towards radical reimaginings and expression. This event will feature poets and Shades of Honey Collective: Karia White, Donavon Bright, Sam Casanova, Micaela Grant, Abiu Santos, Miarri Phillips, Helen Nguyen, Arianna Baharmast, Laura Bianchi, and Talaya Banks.
